Planckendael

A few days ago I went to Planckendael with my boyfriend. When I was little I used to go alot with my family. My last visit was 6 years ago so I think it was time to go back once again. Anyhow, Planckendael is always fun for everyone! We firt visited an indoor tropical garden.

I decided to wear a very comfy outfit for the day.
Top-Urban Outfitters
Cardigan-Random store in Leuven
Jegging-Inno
Bag-Lonchamp (I got mine at a flea market, for €5! This color isn't availble anymore I believe)
Shoes-Sacha

In the Asia area (the park is divided into 5 parts and they each represent a different continent) we could visit, beside the Asian animals, a remake of an Indian village. Every continent has it's own little village, which makes you feel a little bit like you are visiting the actual continent.

Then we went on to Oceania. Koala's are my favorite animals after cats so I had to visit them! Planckendael has 4 koala's but only the one on the picture was awake, he was very busy eating as you can see.

You can find these monkeys in Africa, I tought they were so cute!

`
Look how nice the giraffes were posing.

We also visited the farm in Europe, were you pet goats.

I had a lovely day with this one, thanks for reading xoxo

Favorites

I adore this lipstick from Bourjois (shade 30). It's the perfect color for autumn.

I was  going to buy the Benefit 'Gimme brow' which costs €25, or either a Mac brow set (€16). I find them both more on the expensive side, so I was looking for a cheaper alternative. This brow mascara from Maybelline costs €8,99 and works amazing. It really keeps every hair in place and stays all day long. The shade dark blond is perfect for me.

I saw this beautiful necklace in 'WEAR' in Leuven the other day with my boyfriend. In store, I told him I really really liked it and guess what, he secretly bought it the next day! He's too sweet :)

This necklace really goes with every outfit, I am definetly going to wear this everyday. I also think it would look nice layered with other necklaces.

Last but not least, tea! I have been loving tea over the past few days. Especially with honey, which gives the tea a sweeter taste. My favorite is the Lemon Melisse by Ricola.

ROOM DECORATION

I just reorganized my bedroom a couple of days ago, I really like how it turned out. Fairy light and candles are essentials in my bedroom, the give a great atmosphere!
Keep on reading and take a look around my bedroom :)

I DIY-ed this mirror into a chalkboard and painted it silver last summer. I regualary change up the quotes I write on it. Now you can see a quote from one of my favorite movies ever 'The Great Gatsby'. (I was within and without. Simultaneously enchanted and repelled by the inexhaustible variety of life.)
I really love the look of the different frameworks with the little carts.

Love this cute elephant, I got it from Casa!

I ordered this polaroidlooking photos from Spector.

Naked 3 palette

I ordered the Naked 3 on Beautybay when it was on sale. Both Beautybay and Feelunique are my favorite online make up shops. I find some brands, such as Urband Decay, Benefit, Too Faced and so on, hard to find in Belgium. These websites offer so many brands and products which I can never find in the stores around me. That's the reason why I love those websites so much! The online downside of Feelunique is that they do not ship Benefit products to Belgium. Luckily, I found a Dutch online shop called Douglas which also offers Benefit (and many more brands) and free shipping to Belgium!

Back to the Naked 3 palette.
I think this is a great palette for some who doens't own much eyeshadows yet, it. It's great for beginners like me to experiment with different collors. Personally, I think the light colors suit me best because my skin is very pale. In this look I used a light brown as a base from the Naked Basics palette. I put 'darkside' in the outer of my eye and lined my eyes with 'mugshot'. I'm definetly going to wear this look in autumn.
I basically love all the colors but 'buzz' and 'mugshot' are my favorites. They're both sparkly. I found 'trick' a little disappoitning because it's not that pigmented as the other ones. Anyway, I really like the palette and I would recommend it to anyone :)

Wishlist a/w 14

Since the weather hasn't been great at all here in Belgium, I was in the mood to check out the autumn/winter clothing on online shops. I'm actually looking forward to autumn, I love the autumn clothing! My favorite online shop is definetly asos, they offer so many brands and the shipping is free. There is also an option to 'save your clothing', you can save the clothes you like for 60 days, which is very interesting
I think it's a little bit too early to already buy the clothes I like.
So, I've just put some stuff together I like a lot, in that way I can find them again easily. I like putting a lot of items in my shopping basket, pretending I can afford them all haha.

DIY Kiwi Scrub

 Ingredients
-a handful of seasalt
-2 kiwi's
-a tablespoon of honey
-some mint leafs

This scrub is just as easy to make as it is to use :)
First, cut the two kiwi's and the mint leaves into pieces and add them to the salt.
At last add the honey.

Using a pestle, crush everything together. And that's it!
Normally you can use this scrub 2-3 times. If you don't use it, put it in the refridgerator.

Hair Care

The shampoo I am currently using is the l'Oréal Absolut Repair. I won it in a giveaway from teacupsanddresses.com (love her blog!). I really like this shampoo, so happy I got try it out. I'm definetly going to repurchase this one.

When my hair feels like it can use a bit of extra care, I use the Moroccan Argan Oil by Organix. I use it after my shampoo and only on the tips of my hair, every 3-4 days.  It really does make my hair feel softer and better. The only thing I don't like about it is that it has a lot of perfume in it, it's a really strong smell.

I am looking for a new shampoo and oil for my hair, please leave your recommendations below :)

When my hair starts to get a little bit greasy, these dry shampoos from Batiste are so handy! They both work the same, only the smell is different. Personally, I like the leopard one more. I've tried other dry shampoos but they weren't as good as these ones.

In the summer, I try not to use heat on my hair. I just let it air dry until it's just a bit damp, then I make to little braids and let the rest of my hair dry like that. I wash my hair in the evening so when I take out the braids in the morning, my hair is nice and wavy. I just add a bit of sea salt spray from l'Oréal and I am good to go.
When I do use heat on my hair, I spray a bit of heat protective spray from Syoss onto my hair. I don't really like this spray because it makes my hair feel all sticky. If you know any good protective spray, please let me know!
